Kentucky Rush U12 Girls Crowned American Cup Champions!
Kentucky Rush U12 Girls Go 4–0 to Claim American Cup Title

The Kentucky Rush U12 Girls have officially brought home the gold, going undefeated to win the KYSA 2025 Kentucky American Cup! Their 4-0 run was fueled by grit, growth, and an undeniable team spirit—culminating in a well-deserved championship that reflects just how far this group has come.
Their journey hasn’t been easy. Just one year ago, these girls were making the leap from local Optimist Club recreational soccer to the more competitive world of youth club soccer—a transition filled with challenges. Wins were hard to come by, and learning curves were steep. But this team didn’t flinch. Instead, they leaned into the process.
From learning the fundamentals of building out of the back to executing team shape with purpose, their development—both technical and tactical—has been remarkable. More importantly, they did it together. They supported one another through tough losses, learned from every challenge, and emerged with something far more valuable than just soccer skills: a bond rooted in love, perseverance, and heart.
This weekend, that growth was on full display. With a lean 11 player roster, they scored 12 goals while allowing just four. Every player made an impact—whether it was clutch saves in goal, timely finishes up top, or rock-solid defending in critical moments.
Among their standout victories:
- 1–0 win over a strong Lexington side
- 2–1 win against a talented team from Georgetown
They set a goal this spring: win the American Cup. And they delivered.
"I’m extremely blessed to have played a small part in their soccer journey," said Coach Andy Johnson. "They’ve worked so hard and supported each other every step of the way. We’re just so proud of them."
